Fulton's single-speed winches are designed to meet your most demanding pulling requirements. Our winches feature efficient gear ratios and a "comfort grip" handle for easy cranking. All gears are made of high-carbon steel, providing superior strength and long-term durability. Stamped carbon steel frames ensure rigidity for precise gear alignment and extended cycle life.
The industry-leading 600-hour salt spray rating per ASTM B117 and 600-zinc plating provide excellent corrosion resistance in all environments. Fulton has been producing the finest winches in the industry for over 50 years, the result of engineering innovation, superior materials, and rugged manufacturing. Fulton offers a wide range of winches, from the stylish and innovative F2 winch to a variety of one-speed and two-speed winches, as well as our robust brake winches, to meet virtually every need.
When selecting a winch, you should consider the following factors: 1) the environment (wet or saltwater), 2) the required capacity (Fulton winches range from 600 lbs. to 2100 lbs.), 3) whether a single-speed or multi-speed winch is required (based on cranking resistance), and 4) whether a braking solution is needed to assist in load management (for safety and pay-out).
To determine the trailer winch capacity needed for pulling, add the total weight of all items being pulled (boat, motor, fuel, gear) and divide by 2. For example, if the total weight is 2,800 lbs., you would need a 1,500 lb. winch (2,800 lbs. divided by 2 = 1,400 lbs.). If using a steep incline launch, divide by 1.5 instead of 2 due to the increased load on the winch from the incline.
For lifting, select a brake winch based on the amount being lifted. For example, if lifting 1,450 lbs., you would need a winch rated at 1,500 lbs.
The 900 lb. capacity winch is designed to meet your toughest pulling demands, featuring an efficient gear ratio, full-length drum bearings, oil-impregnated shaft bushings, and a 6-inch "comfort grip" handle for easy cranking. The high-carbon steel gears provide superb strength and long-term durability, while the stamped carbon steel frame ensures rigidity and longer cycle life. The winch also includes a 12-foot strap with a metal slip hook and safety latch.
